The only AI newsletter you need
Welcome to HumanXMachine, let me start by thanking you for being here! The week has been busy with the AI summit, new chatbots, and upgraded models being released yet again. This edition crystalizes the important events in AI in the last few days and also gives one quick trick to get the most out of long speeches. Don’t worry, I’ll keep it short and sweet.
Lets Begin.
NEWS YOU SHOULD KNOW
AI SUMMIT
India AI Summit wants to be the Davos of AI, and almost pulls it off

India pulled 118 countries, 20+ heads of government, and over 100 AI CEOs into Delhi, which is not what a “regional” summit looks like.
The New Delhi AI Declaration leans on “sovereign AI” and Global South languages, which is code for “we do not want US and China owning all the models and data.”
The big tell is three homegrown AI stacks (Sarvam, BharatGen, Gnani) plus huge infra pledges, which turns India from “AI user” to “AI supply chain node” in a week.
While the event was marked with controversies about Chinese robots and awkward photo-ops, the overall summit made it clear that India wants in on the AI race even if the governments investment in this sector paints a different picture
AI AND GOVERNMENT
US government wants Claude for its military, no matter what.

The Pentagon has given Anthropic a deadline to let the US military use its Claude models “as it sees fit,” with threats to cancel contracts or invoke the Defense Production Act if they refuse.
Anthropic is holding the line on two things that matter in normal language: no fully autonomous lethal targeting and no mass domestic surveillance using its models.
For you, this is the first big public clash over whether AI makers get to say “no, our tech will not be used for that,” and how far a government will push when your chatbot also powers military tools.
Claude has already proven to be the biggest AI disruption in coding, finance and cyber security. With its injection into defense, we could be in for troubling times, and Trump isn’t one to take NO for an answer.

TURN LONG SPEECHES INTO ACTION ITEMS

Turn long AI policy speeches into a “what should I do” summary
Grab any YouTube video from India AI Summit keynotes or similar long talks and copy the URL.
Paste the link into a transcript tool like NotebookLM or a YouTube summarizer that supports chaptering.
Prompt it with: “Summarize into 5 bullet‑point actions for a startup founder or solo professional, no jargon.”
Ask a follow up: “Turn this into a one page checklist I can print.”
Save that output in your notes app and ignore the rest of the 90 minute speech guilt free 😄
